Tile Assembly Instructions

Align numbered registration marks and butt tile edges flush without overlapping untrimmed paper. Tape securely.

Step-by-Step Sewing Instructions

Draft construction notes. Readable online; review against the pattern pieces before sewing.

Cut & Prepare Canvas Pieces

Cut canvas body, lining, handles, and pocket panels accurately along straight grainlines.

Construct Interior Slip Pocket

Fold under and topstitch upper pocket hem. Press side and bottom edges under 10 mm. Center pocket on one lining panel and edge-stitch sides and bottom.

Prepare & Position Handles

Fold canvas handle straps lengthwise, press, and topstitch both long edges at 3 mm. Pin handle raw ends to upper edge of outer canvas panels 12 cm apart.

Stitch Outer Body & Box Base Corners

Pin outer panels right sides together. Stitch side seams and bottom seam. Flatten boxed bottom corner cutouts, matching side seam to bottom seam; stitch across corner.

Assemble Lining with Turning Opening

Repeat side and bottom seams for lining, leaving a 12 cm opening along bottom edge for turning. Box lining corners.

Join Outer to Lining & Finish

Slip outer tote inside lining right sides together. Stitch upper rim perimeter. Turn bag right side out through bottom gap, press rim flat, and topstitch rim at 3 mm and 6 mm.
