1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the Threadline Patterns website (operated as an open-access educational initiative by the Threadline Patterns Project, "we", "us"), browsing our catalog, or downloading any documentation or pattern files, you agree to comply with these terms.
2. Pattern Licensing & Distribution Rights
Pattern pages identify their source reference and available license information. Rights can differ between original Threadline material, third-party source material and generated adaptations, so review the exact pattern record before redistribution or commercial use.
Some records reference FreeSewing. Each adaptation needs the exact upstream design revision, applicable license and attribution checked against its actual files.
Historical source references require item-specific provenance and applicable usage-permission checks. Age or an archive name alone is not the verification record.
Permission information for original material must be distinguished from third-party source material and generated adaptations.
3. Commercial Garment Making Permissions
Commercial-use permission depends on the exact source and license shown on each pattern page. Check that record before using a pattern commercially; availability on this website is not a blanket commercial-use grant.
Restriction: You may not package and resell our digital PDF pattern files on digital marketplaces (such as Etsy, Gumroad, or Amazon) as your own proprietary digital products.
4. Disclaimer of Fit & Craft Warranty
Garment drafting is an applied craft that intersects with individual anatomical variation, fabric shrinkage rates, textile weight, and sewing precision.
FIT AND MUSLIN RECOMMENDATION:
All patterns and instructions are provided for educational and crafting guidance "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular body or purpose.
We strongly advise making a practice toile or muslin out of inexpensive scrap cloth before cutting into valuable or irreplaceable textiles, especially when sewing a new pattern or blending sizes for the first time.
5. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms do not limit any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live. Any dispute will be handled under the applicable law and jurisdiction determined by the relevant conflict-of-law rules.
