Fabric Cutting Checklist:

Press fabric before cutting to remove packing folds and pre-shrink fibers.

Tile Assembly Instructions

Align numbered registration marks and butt tile edges flush without overlapping untrimmed paper. Tape securely.

Step-by-Step Sewing Instructions

Draft construction notes. Readable online; review against the pattern pieces before sewing.

Construct Neck Ties

Fold neck tie strips lengthwise right sides together. Stitch along long edge and one short end, trim corner, turn right side out using a loop turner, and press crisp.

Prepare Facing & Baste Ties

Fuse interfacing to front and back facing pieces. Baste the raw ends of the finished neck ties to the upper neck peaks of the front bodice facing toward center.

Attach Facing & Encase Neckline

Pin front facing to front bodice right sides together, sandwiching the neck ties. Stitch upper halter neckline and curved underarm edges. Clip curves, turn right side out, and understitch facing.

Construct Elasticated Back Band

Stitch back band into a casing channel. Thread 25 mm elastic through, distribute gathers evenly, and secure elastic ends with vertical staystitches.

Side Seams & Curved Hem

Join front bodice and elasticated back band at side seams right sides together, enclosing facing raw edges. Press seams open. Turn narrow double-fold hem along bottom edge and topstitch.
