Tile Assembly Instructions

Align numbered registration marks and butt tile edges flush without overlapping untrimmed paper. Tape securely.

Step-by-Step Sewing Instructions

Draft construction notes. Readable online; review against the pattern pieces before sewing.

1

Join the Tank Shoulder Seams

Place the Front Body and Back Body right sides together, match the shoulder edges, and stitch with a stretch-compatible stitch. Finish the allowances together and press them toward the back.

2

Bind the Athletic Neckline

Join the short ends of the Neckline Binding Strip to form a loop. Quarter-mark the loop and neckline, place the binding against the right side, and stitch while stretching the binding evenly without stretching the body. Wrap the binding over the seam allowance to the wrong side and topstitch.

3

Close the Tank Side Seams

Place front and back right sides together and match the underarm and hem edges. Stitch each side seam with a stretch-compatible stitch, finish the allowances together, and press them toward the back.

4

Bind Both Armholes

Join each Armhole Binding Strip into a loop. Quarter-mark each loop and armhole, match raw edges with right sides together, and stitch with even tension. Turn the binding to the wrong side and topstitch, keeping both armholes symmetrical.

5

Hem the Athletic A-Shirt

Try on the tank and confirm the finished length. Turn the printed body hem allowance to the wrong side, press without stretching, and topstitch with a coverstitch or narrow zig-zag. Give the neckline, armholes, and hem a final steam press.

Troubleshooting & Fit Alterations

Solutions for common fitting hurdles and construction errors specific to this garment.

Problem: Seams puckering along stitch line

Possible Cause: Thread tension too high or needle blunt

Recommended Fix: Insert fresh needle and test balance on fabric scrap.

Problem: Wavy edge along curved perimeter

Possible Cause: Edge was stretched while feeding into machine

Recommended Fix: Staystitch immediately after cutting and use walking foot.
