Construct Henley Placket

Slash front neck slit on front bodice. Stitch right and left placket strips right sides together, fold over, and box-topstitch at bottom tab. Press seam allowances.

Shoulder Seams & Neck Binding

Align front bodice and Back Bodice on Fold right sides together. Stitch shoulder seams and press seam allowances. Apply narrow knit binding along neckline right sides together up to placket edges and topstitch.

Insert Sleeves and Side Seams

Insert long sleeves flat into armholes right sides together. Stitch side seams right sides together down to hem, and press seam allowances.

Buttonholes and Hemming

Sew vertical buttonholes on top placket and attach buttons. Turn under sleeve and bottom hems, press seam allowances, and stitch with twin needle.

Troubleshooting & Fit Alterations

Possible Cause: Slit wasn't cut cleanly to corner notches.

Recommended Fix: Clip diagonal notches precisely to stitch corners at base of placket.
