Print Page 1 at 100% scale without page scaling. Check Metric box (50 mm x 50 mm) or Imperial box (2.0 in x 2.0 in = 50.8 mm) with a rigid ruler.

Align numbered registration marks and butt tile edges flush without overlapping untrimmed paper. Tape securely.

Assemble Back Cinch Straps
Stitch cinch straps right sides together, turn, press, and topstitch. Thread buckle and baste straps to back side seam markings.

Join Shoulder Seams
Stitch front to back at shoulder seams for shell fabric. Repeat for lining fabric. Press seams open.

Join Shell to Lining at Neckline and Armholes
Pin shell and lining right sides together. Stitch around front edges, V-neckline, and armholes. Clip curves and understitch where possible.

Turn Right Side Out & Stitch Side Seams
Pull fronts through shoulders to turn waistcoat right side out. Align side seams of shell and lining in one continuous pass and stitch.

Finish Hem & Install Buttons
Turn up hem, slip-stitch bottom opening closed, and steam press. Sew vertical buttonholes on right front and attach buttons on left front.
